Data-Informed, People Driven.

That’s the motto for the Innovation Summit, an event featuring entrepreneurs from Howard County to showcase their revolutionary ideas and products. Located at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, this summit exhibited companies from a variety of backgrounds, from  Advance Synergy, a business that coordinates care and capital for cancer patients to VoMaSmart promoting our volunteer registration/management product to streamline sign-ups, show-ups, and retention.

Hosting over 20 companies, the Howard County Innovation Center highlighted 6 of their residents at the Summit, displaying Howard County’s dedication to innovation and modernization. This 16,000 square foot incubator boasts multiple offices, conference rooms, and recreation spaces for small businesses to discuss their ideas and develop their brand. Howard County also offers the center support staff and organizations, such as Kauffman FastTrac, to guide entrepreneurs and secure long-term economic success in the future.

“Today we take another step forward in our mission to support small businesses in Howard County and make our economy a leader in generating innovative ideas.”

– Calvin Ball, Howard County Executive
